With Love, Meghan Netflix Review: Cringe, Cozy, or Surprisingly Good?

The other day, while aimlessly browsing the internet, I stumbled upon reviews of Netflix’s latest reality series, With Love, Meghan. To say it received mixed reactions would be an understatement—let’s be real, it’s getting a lot of hate. From the harsh criticism to outright dismissals, people have been tearing it apart. But hey, no judgment here! I try to keep my feelings about Meghan Markle neutral. I’m not a die-hard fan, nor am I a critic—I just let my curiosity lead the way. And since I’m incredibly curious, of course, I had to check it out for myself.

As I’m writing this, I’m still in the middle of episode 6 (out of 8), so I haven’t made it to the grand finale yet. But so far? I have thoughts.

😬 First Impressions: YouTube Influencer Vibes?

The moment the first episode began, something felt… off. It had this YouTube lifestyle vlogger feel rather than a high-budget Netflix reality series. The aesthetic? Beautiful. But the conversations? Awkward. I mean, really awkward. The interactions seemed scripted, the dialogue felt forced, and there were moments that made me cringe a little. You know that secondhand embarrassment when people try a little too hard to make something look effortless? Yeah, there was a lot of that.

I even found myself wondering—if she weren’t Meghan Markle, would this show have made it onto Netflix? Probably not. But then again, fame has its perks, and if I were a VVIP, I’d totally use that privilege to make my dream lifestyle show too.

No shame in that! 😆

💞 The Good News? It Gets Better

Despite my initial skepticism, I’ll admit the series started to grow on me. As the episodes rolled on, it became more natural, more engaging, and—dare I say—actually enjoyable. Would I personally do a show like this if I were famous? You bet I would. 🙌

🏡 The Real Star of the Show? The House

Forget Meghan—let’s talk about that house! It is stunning. Think cozy yet luxurious, surrounded by lush greenery, and featuring a garden straight out of my Pinterest dreams. There’s something so charming about a home that’s surrounded by nature, and this one checks all the boxes. And let’s not even start on the kitchen—because wow.

If you know me, you know that cooking is my love language. Feeding people brings me joy, and Meghan’s kitchen? It’s the ultimate dream space. Beautiful countertops, an array of spices, preserved fruits, fresh herbs—it’s a home cook’s paradise.

Future husband, please take note. 😜

👩‍🍳Can Meghan Cook? Actually, Yes.

One of the biggest surprises? Meghan can actually cook—or at least she makes it look like she can. As someone who genuinely loves cooking, I can tell when someone enjoys the process, and she absolutely does.

I also learned a few fun things! Before watching, I had no idea what crudités were (turns out, it’s a fancy French appetizer with raw veggies and dip). I also picked up some cool tricks on making preserved fruits, sun tea, dehydrated fruits, and even dried flowers for decoration.

Who knew I’d walk away from this series with a few new kitchen skills? That part, I loved.

🎨 Visually Stunning, Aesthetic Overload

One thing I can’t deny—this show is visually beautiful. The colors, the lighting, the way everything is styled—it’s a feast for the eyes. Whether it’s the vibrant food, the perfectly arranged flowers, or the dreamy garden shots, the aesthetic is on point. And honestly? I’m a sucker for that kind of thing.

Meghan herself? No matter how people feel about her, she’s undeniably beautiful. She has that effortless glow, a warm smile, and a simple yet elegant style that suits her perfectly. I also liked seeing her interact with the crew—it felt warm and genuine.

🍗 My Favorite Episode? Two Kids From LA.

If I had to pick a favorite episode, it would be the one featuring Chef Roy Choi, who teaches Meghan how to cook with bold, spicy Korean flavors. I love Korean chicken, so naturally, I paid extra attention to this one. I was glued to the screen, soaking in every detail, hoping to replicate the recipe in my own kitchen.

If nothing else, this show did inspire me to try new things—and that’s a win in my book.

Final Verdict: Worth Watching?

Love her or hate her, Meghan is just like the rest of us in one way—she has haters. But she also has fans, friends, and family who love and support her. At the end of the day, With Love, Meghan isn’t made for the critics; it’s made for the people who admire her, who enjoy her style, and who want a glimpse into her world.

So, no matter how much you dislike it, this show still has an audience. And for them, it’s exactly what they signed up for.

Would I recommend With Love, Meghan? Well, it depends. If you love lifestyle content, dreamy kitchens, and garden aesthetics, you might enjoy it. If you’re hoping for deep, unscripted drama reality TV, this probably isn’t for you. It’s not a groundbreaking series, but it’s light, visually appealing, and filled with little moments of inspiration. For me, the mix of food, nature, and home vibes made it worth the watch.

Not for everyone, but hey—if you’re curious, give it a shot and judge for yourself!

X, Hani.
