Well, hello there!

As a new reader, I’m sure you’re curious to learn a bit more about me.

My name is Hani, but my friends call me Along, Kim, or Auri, depending on the timeline you know me from (I have many nicknames). I’m a girl with a mind that never sleeps—I constantly come up with new ideas and set new goals to tackle, finding great satisfaction in achieving them. It’s how I learn and grow as a person. With a profound love for words, I also spend most of my time writing, either on my blog or working on my poetry.

I was born on June 23 (yup, a cancer 🦀) and raised in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. I’m currently based in Kuala Lumpur, where I share a home with a very handsome American Shorthair cat named Jack. I’ve never been married, have no kids, and am still single! I have 4 younger brothers—yes, I’m a sister, and not just any sister, but a cool one 😎

At the age of 23, I began living on my own to pursue my career in accounting and finance. I also had some modelling experience before deciding to quit and prioritize my well-being. Solo travel became a passion of mine in 2016, and it has remained so ever since. Besides writing and travelling, I also enjoy poetry, horror, music, ancient history, and Formula One.

What is Wanderhoney?

Wanderhoney is a platform for me to express myself freely and share my personal growth and travel experiences—what I see and what I want to see in the world—to inspire others to explore new places, try new things, embrace different cultures, and prioritize self-love. It’s about teaching and sharing what I know and what I have experienced.

As a non-native English speaker, I constantly strive to enhance my language skills, and my blog provides me with an opportunity to practice and refine my writing and communication abilities, helping me to achieve my goal of becoming more fluent and articulate in English.

In short, Wanderhoney is my passion project, and I hope that it will continue to be a space where I can share my experiences and connect with like-minded people who share my love for travel and personal growth.
