It wasn’t even a planned “content day.”  I was simply meeting my former boss and a few colleagues for a casual lunch, expecting the usual catch-up session. However, the moment I arrived, the whole vibe shifted. You know that feeling when you walk into a place, and everything—from the décor to the smell of freshly baked pastries—just quietly whispers,

“Hey, you’re going to enjoy this”

That was Inara.

The afternoon turned into more than just a meal. It became one of those cozy gatherings where conversations flow easily, laughter fills the air, and you suddenly realise how much you’ve missed the people around you. What was meant to be a simple lunch quickly turned into one of those unexpectedly wholesome afternoons that remind you why good company really does make food taste better.

One thing I love about Inara Café is how varied the menu is. They’ve got something for every mood—from local classics like Nasi Kerabu to comforting Western dishes like pasta.

I went for the creamy tom yum pasta, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was delicious. Creamy, tangy, rich, and balanced, with that unmistakable Tom Yum kick. The portion was generous enough to keep me full and happy. I also stole a bite of the Nasi Kerabu from someone at the table, and honestly… one of the best I’ve had in a while. Fresh, flavourful, and perfectly done.

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, brace yourself. Inara Café’s dessert counter is dangerous (in the best way). Cakes, croissants, cromboloni, pastries… everything looks perfectly baked and ridiculously tempting… making it a true haven for anyone with a sweet tooth. 

This is the kind of place where you stand in front of the display for a good few minutes because choosing just one dessert feels almost impossible. Whether you want something decadent or something buttery and flaky, there’s always something calling your name. And yes, dessert here is a must.
