You guys already know I have a full-blown obsession with Korean food. From crispy fried chicken to cheesy tteokbokki, I’ve tried it all (and yes, I’ve blogged about most of it too 😋). But there’s one Korean eatery I haven’t raved about here yet, and honestly? It’s in a league of its own.
Let me introduce you to Nak Nak—a fast food joint that’s nothing like the rest. I love their burgers. I mean, I like Burger King, but Nak Nak? That’s a whole different level of delicious. No exaggeration—nothing beats their burger.
If you’ve never heard of Nak Nak before, let me just say: you’re seriously missing out. This vibrant, lively Korean eatery is flipping the script on comfort food and the best part? It’s affordable, it’s halal, and ridiculously satisfying.
What is Nak Nak All About?
Nak Nak isn’t just a catchy name, though let’s admit—it’s super fun to say. It’s inspired by the Korean word “낙” (nak), which means joy. Combine that with the playful Malay repetition “nak nak” (like saying “want want”), and you’ve got a brand that’s literally about wanting joy. And trust me, it delivers.
This isn’t your average fast food joint. Nak Nak is where Korean street food meets modern fast dining, blending all the bold, comforting flavors of Korea with the speed and simplicity we love in a quick meal.
Oh—and here’s a fun fact: it’s created by the same powerhouse team behind K Fry Urban Korean, so you already know the quality and flavor are going to be top-tier.
Where to Find Nak Nak in Malaysia
Nak Nak first made its debut at IOI City Mall, and ever since, it’s been expanding like crazy. You can now find outlets in Puchong, Bangsar, TRX, KLIA2, Ampang, and a few more popping up around the Klang Valley. The one at IOI is always super packed, especially during peak hours.
But if you ask me? My go-to will always be the Cyberjaya outlet. It’s a little more low-key, way less hectic, and honestly the perfect spot for a chill bite. The vibe’s still the same, but without the crowd pressure. Win-win.
The Ordering Experience: Self-Service Done Right
As soon as you walk in, you head straight to the touchscreen kiosks. No queues at the counter, no waiting behind someone who’s taking forever to decide, no awkward “uhh…” moments at the counter while the staff stares at you waiting for your decision—just you and a super intuitive screen with big, bright pictures of every menu item (which I love, because visuals make everything easier).
Once you’ve picked your food, you’ll be asked to enter your buzzer number (you’ll find the buzzers right next to the touchscreen). Just key in the number during checkout, make your payment, and boom—you’re good to go.
Now all that’s left to do is grab a seat and wait for your buzzer to light up and vibrate when your food is ready. Super easy, super smooth.
It’s fast, fuss-free, and low-key kinda fun. Honestly, this is how all fast-food places should operate.
What I’ve Tried (So Far)
Alright, here’s the juicy part. I’ve kind of made it my personal foodie mission to work my way through as much of Nak Nak’s menu as possible. So here’s the lowdown on what I’ve tried so far:
🍔 Spicy Nak Dak Burger—My Ultimate Fave!
This. Is. The one. The burger that completely stole my heart (and maybe my soul too?)
We’re talking about perfectly crispy boneless fried chicken, stacked with lettuce, tomatoes, a slice of cheese, pickles, and a creamy sauce that gives major thousand island vibes. But what really takes it to the next level? Nak Nak’s signature spicy gochujang sauce—and OMG, it’s so freaking good!
It’s spicy, it’s saucy, it’s crunchy, and it’s gooey—basically, it’s the kind of burger that makes you do a little happy dance with every single bite.
I order this every single time… without fail. No matter what else I’m craving, this burger always makes it into my order. It’s that good. Like… dangerously good. Solid 10/10.
🍗 Nak Nak Chicken
Whether you go for Boneless Thighs or Wings & Drummettes, these babies do not disappoint.
They come out crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and full of flavour—just like the Korean fried chicken you’d expect from your favourite K-food spots.
Here are the flavours I’ve tried so far:
-
Nak Dak Gochujang (Boneless Thigh): A solid pick with that classic gochujang kick.
-
Nak Dak with Cheese Sauce: If you’re a cheese lover, this one’s a must.
-
Spicy Gochujang Wings: This one brings the heat! Bold, fiery, and packed with that signature Korean gochujang kick.
No matter which flavour you choose, the chicken always arrives hot, fresh, and coated in just the right amount of sauce.
🍚 Seaweed Rice
I ordered this to pair with my Spicy Nak Dak Gochujang. I mean, come on… Asian and rice? You just can’t separate us. 😂 It’s a bowl of warm, fluffy rice (slightly sticky) mixed with shredded seaweed, sesame seeds and their signature soy sauce. If you need something to balance out the richness of your meal—this is it.
🍟 Loaded Bulgogi Beef Fries
Nak Nak’s Loaded Bulgogi Beef Fries start with a base of thick-cut, golden fries—topped with tender bulgogi beef, generous drizzles of creamy cheese sauce, and a sprinkle of green onions. Every bite delivers rich, cheesy, umami-packed goodness.
It’s indulgent. It’s messy. It’s satisfying.
🍹Drinks
When you pick up your order at the counter, they’ll hand you a metal cup for your drink. Choose from three drink options—all with free refills. Yes, really.
- Homemade Iced Tea
- Fresh Hand-Squeezed Lemonade
- Soft Drinks
Nak Nak also offers desserts, milkshakes, and cookies—but full disclosure: I haven’t tried them yet, so I can’t say much. Maybe next time?
Burgers at Nak Nak are priced between RM17.00 to RM20.00 à la carte, while the chicken options range from RM16.00 to RM20.00… depending on the flavour.

Ambience & Vibe
Fun, upbeat, and unapologetically Korean. Nak Nak isn’t one of those ultra-aesthetic cafés where you spend 10 minutes arranging your drink for the perfect shot. It’s more of a cool, modern fast food joint—clean, bright, with K-pop playing in the background and a super efficient setup that keeps everything moving.
The decor is minimalist and functional, with a mix of dining tables and high bar seating that keeps things casual yet efficient.
The Service
Since everything at Nak Nak is self-service, you won’t have much interaction with the staff—but honestly, that’s part of what makes it so smooth. Orders come out fast, hot, fresh, and accurate. I’m impressed every single time.
After eating, you’re expected to clear your own tray. There’s even a cool automatic hand-washing machine. I was a little awkward about using it at first (because I had no idea how 😅), but it’s actually super easy. Just wave your hand, and it dispenses water and fragrant hand soap automatically. Fancy and practical.
Oh, and one thoughtful touch I love? They provide plastic gloves, so if you’re digging into saucy wings or burgers, you won’t get your hands messy. Most Korean restaurants I’ve been to do this too. Super thoughtful!
Final Thoughts
Nak Nak is one of those places that’s dangerously easy to crave, especially when you’re in the mood for bold Korean flavors or a juicy, messy, utterly addictive burger.
I try to limit my visits (because hey, it’s still fast food)… but let’s be real: I never stay away for long. The Spicy Nak Dak Burger? It has me in a chokehold.
So if you ever find yourself craving Korean comfort food or you’re just curious after reading this, you know where to go. Joy is definitely on the menu.
Until the next bite,
Auri 💛
