I actually discovered this restaurant completely by chance. I was in the area to buy a cheesecake from a bakery just a few steps away. As I was walking back to my car, something caught my eyeâa banner in front of a newly opened restaurant, proudly announcing a 50% discount on all menu items. Well, you can guess what happened next. Curiosity got the best of me, so I peeked inside.
At that time, the place was still quiet. No crowd, no buzzâjust a clean, simple setup and the smell of something delicious coming from the kitchen. It wasnât flashy, but something about it made me want to sit down and give it a shot. Iâm so glad I did.
That first visit turned out to be one of those rare food finds that instantly stick with me. The soup, the beef, the noodles, the chili oilâeverything was so much better than I expected, especially for a restaurant that had just opened and barely had customers yet.
Since that day, itâs become my go-to whenever I need a comforting bowl of Chinese noodles.
â Whatâs on the Menu?
Restoran Masakan Cina Muslim has quite a variety of halal Chinese food on the menu. You can find all sorts of dishes hereâfrom warm soups and tasty noodles to rice plates, dumplings, and satay-style meats. Theyâve got chicken, beef, seafood and even lamb dishes. If you like veggies, they also serve things like broccoli with mushrooms, tofu, and other stir-fried greens.
For drinks, they offer a range of juices like orange, lemon, mango, strawberry, and blackcurrant which are usually around RM6â8 per glass. But if youâre not fussy, they also provide free self-service drinks, which is a nice touch if youâre just there for a quick meal.
đ What I Always Order: Beef Noodle SoupÂ
This is my must-have every time I come here.
I still remember the first time I tried it. I was instantly hooked. They have two options: clear soup and braised in brown sauce. For me, itâs always the brown one, though the clear soup is pretty good too. But the brown one is just so much richer and full of flavour.
The bowl comes in a good size, filled with springy noodles, chunks of tender beef, and slices of white radish, all soaked in that delicious, comforting broth. And hereâs the best part: they have chili oil on every table, so you can adjust the spiciness to your own liking. I always add a bitâit just brings the whole bowl to life.
And honestly, this place nails it. The broth is tasty, the noodles have a nice chew, the beef is soft and juicy, and that chili oil adds a lovely kick.
Iâve also tried their dumplings and both the chicken and lamb skewers. The dumplings were pretty goodâsoft, generously filled, and nicely cooked. As for the skewers, both were juicy and well-seasoned. They were grilled just rightânot dry at all, and the flavours were nicely balanced.
đ„ Taste Comparison: Salam Noodles vs Restoran Masakan Cina Muslim
If youâve tried Salam Noodles (another Chinese-Muslim spot), youâll probably compare the two… and so have I. Salam Noodles is known for their lamb and hand-pulled noodles, and they definitely have their own crowd of fans.
But if you ask me, I personally prefer Restoran Masakan Cina Muslim.
Why?
Because the beef is more generous and tastes better, the soup is more flavourful, the noodles are just more satisfying, and the chili oil really stands out. Everything feels more balanced here, and I genuinely enjoy every bite more.
Nothing against Salam NoodlesâI still go there now and then. But this place wins me over every single time.
â Price & Portion Notes
When the restaurant first opened, they had a 50% launch promo, and I still remember how generous the beef noodle soup was back thenâpacked with chunks of beef and super satisfying. These days, the portion size has gone down, especially the amount of beef in the bowl, which is honestly a bit of a letdown.
But to be fair, the flavour has stayed consistent, and thatâs what keeps me coming back. The food still hits the spot, even if itâs not as generous as before.
Overall, I still find it quite affordable, especially for simple noodle or rice dishes. You can usually enjoy a meal here for under RM15âRM20, depending on what you order and whether you add drinks. Some of their items, especially the premium ones like lamb or seafood, can get a bit pricey, but thatâs expected with a big menu like this.

đ Location & Ambience
This restaurant is located at Presint 15, Jalan Pulau Pinang, P15â1, tucked in a row of shoplots in Presint Diplomatik, Putrajaya.
Inside, the restaurant is really basicâa very down-to-earth place. Just regular dining tables, a few fake plants, and not much decoration going on. No fancy setup, no hipster or aesthetic vibes⊠But honestly, I kinda like that itâs chill and low-key. It feels like your typical Chinese family restaurantâthe kind of place where you can bring the whole family, sit down, and just enjoy a good meal without any fuss.
It may look simple, but one thing I notice every time I come is how consistent the ambience is. It always feels cozy in its own way.
Final Thoughts
Restoran Masakan Cina Muslim isnât the kind of place you visit for dĂ©cor or aesthetic vibes. But, when it comes to flavour, comfort, and value, this spot truly delivers. Itâs halal, consistent, and hands down serves one of the best beef noodle soups Iâve had in Putrajaya.
If you’re like me, someone who loves a good bowl of noodle soup thatâs rich, warming, and full of flavourâthis place is going to win you over. The beef is tender, the broth is comforting, and that chili oil? Chefâs kiss!Â
So if youâre ever around Presint Diplomatik and craving something satisfying, I highly recommend giving this place a try. Bring a friend, bring your family, or just treat yourself. Who knows, it might just become your go-to comfort food too.
Until next food adventure,
