If you’re in Putrajaya and looking for a calming, relaxing spot, the China-Malaysia Friendship Garden in Precinct 4 is honestly the perfect place for that. It sits within a small, dedicated section of Anjung Floria public park, offering a peaceful escape right in the city. The garden brings a touch of Chinese-style serenity, all inspired by classic “Lingnan” garden design.
If you continue strolling beyond the garden, there’s even more to enjoy. The park stretches along Putrajaya Lake, giving you gorgeous waterfront views, a man-made sandy beach, cozy cafés, and plenty of open spaces perfect for picnics or outdoor activities. The scenery is especially beautiful during sunset.
Since I live nearby, I’ve visited this park quite a few times. Recently, I went for an evening stroll with my partner after grabbing our coffees, and the atmosphere was incredibly soothing. If you’ve never been here, here’s a little glimpse of what the place looks like.
✅ How To Enter The Garden?
It’s actually pretty easy! You can check out the embedded map below to guide you. There’s a large open car park right at the entrance of the area. You’ll need to tap your Touch ‘n Go (TNG) card to enter and exit—that’s the only fee you’ll have to pay because access to the garden and the rest of the park is completely free.
Parking is usually easy to find unless there’s an event happening nearby.
From the car park, simply walk straight toward the red walking lane—you really can’t miss it because it’s the main pathway. Follow that lane for a short distance, and you’ll spot the entrance to the garden on your left. It’s an easy walk, and the whole area feels safe, open, and welcoming to everyone.
✅ What the Garden Has to Offer

✅ What To Bring
The park is perfect for picnics since it sits right next to the lake. However, the man-made sandy beach does have a small fee to enter, but the rest of the park is free. If you’re planning to spend time here, bringing some picnic essentials is a great idea.
There are also plenty of recreational activities available—you can rent a bike, go kayaking, or just wander around and enjoy the landscape at your own pace.
If you’re just coming for a stroll, I’d recommend bringing a bottle of water to stay hydrated, especially with the hot weather. There’s also a café where you can sit, relax, and take in the vibe.
Overall, it’s a very chill and peaceful spot.
⭐ Final Thoughts
Visiting the China-Malaysia Friendship Garden always reminds me how refreshing it feels to slow down, breathe a little deeper, and just enjoy the simple moments. Whether you come here to walk, take photos, sip coffee by the lake, or just sit quietly for a while, the space really has a way of calming your mind.
If you ever find yourself in Putrajaya and need a gentle escape from the city rush, this garden is one of those places that never disappoints.
Who knows—you might end up loving it as I do.💛✨
