Well, my name is Auri.

I also go by Hani, Along, Ari and Kim (yup, I have many nicknames!).

Born on June 23 and raised in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. I’m the eldest of 5 siblings—and the only daughter.

I’m now based in Kuala Lumpur, where I share my home with a very handsome American Shorthair cat named Jack. 🐈

I currently work in finance. I did some modelling when I was younger, but eventually chose a different path that better supports my well-being and personal goals.

Solo travel has been a passion of mine since 2016. I enjoy being on my on in a foreign country challenging myself, and just seeing what I’m capable of. There’s something empowering about it, and it’s a journey I’m still very much in love with. 

What is Wanderhoney?

Wanderhoney is my creative outlet, born in 2016 out of my love for travel and personal growth. It’s a space where I share my travel stories, life reflections, and everything in between—what I see and what I want to see in the world. Through Wanderhoney, I hope to inspire others to explore new places, try new things, embrace different cultures, and prioritize self-love. At its heart, Wanderhoney is about reflecting on my path—and connecting with others who walk a similar one.

As a non-native English speaker, this blog also helps me improve my writing and communication skills, helping me to achieve my goal of becoming more fluent, confident, and expressive in English.

I’m not an influencer, at least not in the way you see these days. I’m just a blogger—or a writer, as I like to call myself—and I enjoy doing things the old-school way: sharing stories, tips, and little adventures right here on my blog. No flashy trends, just real experiences.
