Well, hello there!

As a new reader, I’m sure you’re looking to find out a bit more about me.

My name is Hani, but my friends also call me Along, Kim, or Auri, depending on which timeline you know me from (I have many nicknames). I am the girl with a mind that never sleeps and have a deep love for words, which is why I spend most of my time writing. I’m always coming up with new ideas and setting new goals to tackle. I find a lot of satisfaction in choosing a goal and seeing it through to the end. It’s how I learn and grow as a person.

I was born on June 23 (yup, a Cancer 🦀) and was raised in Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. I am currently based in Kuala Lumpur, where I share a home with a very handsome American shorthair cat named Jack. I’ve never been married, and have no kids; in fact, I’m still single! I have 4 younger brothers. Yes, I’m a sister. Not just a sister, but a cool sister😎. I started living on my own at the age of 23 to pursue my career in accounting and finance. I also had some modeling experience before I quit to give more attention to my well-being. After my MRM surgery in 2014, I began to focus more on what makes me happy. I started traveling solo in 2016, and it has been my passion since then. Besides writing and traveling, I also enjoy poetry, horror, music, astronomy, ancient history, and Formula One. Oh! I love taking photos too! and taking part in extreme sports. 

What is Wanderhoney?

Wanderhoney is a platform for me to express myself freely and share my personal growth and travel experiences—what I see and what I want to see in the world—to inspire others to explore new places, try new things, embrace different cultures, and prioritize self-love. It’s about teaching and sharing what I know and what I have experienced.

As a non-native English speaker, I constantly strive to enhance my language skills, and my blog provides me with an opportunity to practice and refine my writing and communication abilities, helping me to achieve my goal of becoming more fluent and articulate in English.

In short, Wanderhoney is my passion project, and I hope that it will continue to be a space where I can share my experiences and connect with like-minded people who share my love for travel and personal growth.
