After spending about 40 minutes wandering through the lights, here’s my honest take on the experience!
🌟 A Restaurant with a Twist
At its core, Meow Garden is a restaurant, but what makes it stand out is the stunning LED light display that transforms the space into a glowing wonderland. It’s a smart move—because let’s be real, we all love a good Instagrammable spot.
💡 Familiar, Yet Unique
If you’ve been to places like Secret Garden, Putrajaya, you might get déjà vu. The concept is similar, but I personally think Meow Garden does it better. The LED light designs here feel more creative and visually striking, making it a fun experience even if you’ve seen similar setups before.
🚗 Free Entry & Parking—Yes, Please!
One of the best things about Meow Garden? No entrance fee. Yup, it’s completely free! Plus, there’s a dedicated parking lot that won’t cost you a cent. So, if you’re looking for an affordable night out, this is a solid pick.
🌙 Best Time to Visit
The place is open from 5:00 PM to 12:00 AM, but if you want the full magical experience, come at night! The LED lights truly pop in the dark, making it a fantastic spot for taking dreamy photos.
😕 A Fading Charm?
Scrolling through older photos online, I noticed that Meow Garden used to be even more vibrant when it first opened. Sadly, some of the LED lights have gone missing, and a few have been tampered with and no longer work. A little disappointing—but hopefully, people will start being more mindful so that this place can stay beautiful for everyone.
🐱 No Cats, Despite the Name
If you were hoping for a cat café experience, I hate to break it to you—there are no actual cats at Meow Garden (at least, not for now). Maybe adding some cat-themed LED sculptures would be a fun way to tie in the theme. Just a thought!
✨ Clean & Well-Maintained
On a positive note, the place is clean and well-kept, which is always a big plus. Fingers crossed that the management continues to maintain it!
🎠 A Fun Spot for Kids
If you have kids, they’ll love the colourful lights and playful atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where they can run around and be mesmerized by all the glowing displays.
🍲 Tempting Food Options
I didn’t dine at the restaurant this time, but I spotted banners showcasing their specialties—steamboat, Asam Pedas clay pot, and Ikan Bakar. Sounds delicious, right? I might just have to go back for a taste!
📸 Is It Worth Visiting?
If you’re in Ipoh and looking for a budget-friendly spot to take gorgeous, LED-lit photos, Meow Garden is worth a visit. Just don’t expect actual cats! 🐾
