Valentine’s Cafe: A Wholesome Birthday Spot At Tamarind Square, Cyberjaya

My birthday was actually last week, but since I haven’t quite mastered the art of being in two places at once, I decided to stretch the celebration across two weekends. The first weekend was all about quality time with my partner, and the second was reserved exclusively for my best friend!

As usual, we picked our go-to hangout spot—Tamarind Square in Cyberjaya, because we’re absolutely smitten with its outdoor garden vibes. It’s calm, charming, and has that perfect nature-meets-modern aesthetic we both adore. With so many beautiful cafés and restaurants to choose from, this time we both had our eyes (and hearts) set on Valentine’s Café. The glowing reviews had us curious, and let’s be honest, the place looked gorgeous on Instagram!

✅ The Great “Where-is-this-café?” Hunt

Okay, real talk: finding the café was seriously confusing. We spent over 20 minutes wandering around like clueless explorers. Google Maps wasn’t much help either. We literally passed the same spot three times, crossed roads, even wandered a little outside of Tamarind… and still, no Valentine’s Café in sight.

At that point, I had pretty much given up, no joke. My best friend looked just as frustrated, and I was like, “You know what? I saw Treehouse Café earlier—let’s just go there instead.”

So we climbed the stairs, thinking we’d settle for plan B. But surprise! There it was—Valentine’s Café, hiding quietly on the second floor all along. No clear signage, no arrows, nothing to point us in the right direction. Maybe there was a sign and we missed it, but the only one I noticed was for Treehouse Café.

But anyway, we were so glad we finally found it because it was exactly the vibe we were looking for.

✅ The Chill, Private Vibe

When we walked in, I lowkey thought the café was closed because… there were zero customers. Like, completely empty. But then, two friendly staff greeted us with warm smiles and told us we could sit anywhere we liked. We headed straight for the prettiest corner, the table with a lush greenery backdrop.

I loved the setup, white wooden tables with chairs and paired with a cozy bench seat, giving off those garden vibes that make you feel like you’re dining in a little secret hideaway.

And let me tell you, it felt like we had rented the whole café for a personal birthday celebration. The quietness made it feel so private and exclusive. We laughed, chatted, and took a million photos (unapologetically, of course), and just vibed without a single worry about who might be watching or listening.

With just us there, even the waitress had no one else to serve, so the attention felt extra personal—total VIP treatment, if you ask me!

✅ The Menu

Not massive, but it offers just the right variety to suit your cravings (too bad I forgot to snap photos!). It leans mostly toward Western comfort food, with a few Asian fusion twists in the mix. Everything sounded so tempting.

You’ll find:

  • Pizza section with classic and creative toppings.

  • Pasta section with options for beef or chicken tenders to complete your dish.

  • Rice dishes for those in the mood for a heavier meal.

  • Breakfast selections like French toast and a big breakfast.

  • Variety of desserts, from cakes to ice cream.

They also offer a High Tea Set for just RM70 (2–3 pax), served in a 3-tier tray filled with savoury and sweet bites. Perfect for a girls’ day out or a little celebration. On top of that, you can request customisable packages for birthdays, anniversaries, or other special occasions, complete with decorations and cake service. Bookings can be made through their Instagram or WhatsApp, and they’re pretty quick to respond!

✅ What We Ordered

I decided to be a little adventurous and went for the Creamy Chilli Pasta with Chicken Tender, while my friend got the classic Carbonara. For drinks, she went with the super pretty Strawberry Matcha, and I, staying loyal to my citrus obsession, chose a refreshing Lemon Drink with Chia Seeds (because if there’s lemon on the menu, you know I’m ordering it!)

And oh, my. gosh. The moment I took my first bite of my pasta, I actually paused and said, “Wait… this is so good.” I’m not usually into creamy pasta, but this one had the perfect balance—rich, smooth, with just the right amount of spicy kick to keep things interesting. Even my friend couldn’t resist. She kept stealing bites from my plate, haha! The carbonara was good too, but clearly, I won the pasta game that day.

✅ A Sweet Surprise

My best friend surprised me with a birthday cake and as the staff brought it over, a birthday song playing in the background. I couldn’t help but blush like crazy. 😂 I honestly can’t even remember the last time I blew out a birthday candle. It’s been that long.

It was such a wholesome, unexpected moment, and I felt genuinely touched. Like, heart-full, eyes-sparkly kind of touched.

The cake had a chocolate-coffee flavour and it was very delicious! I’m normally a die-hard cheesecake girl (and she knows that), but since they didn’t have any that day, she made a spontaneous choice with this one. And honestly? What a good call! I devoured the whole slice, something I rarely do unless it’s cheesecake-level good!

✅ Price-wise: Worth Every Ringgit!

Honestly? Super affordable for the quality and portions. Most main dishes range from RM20 to RM40, and the drinks are around RM10–RM15. That RM70 High Tea Set I mentioned? Totally worth it—perfect for sharing, beautifully presented, and definitely Instagram-worthy.

Considering the taste, ambiance, and presentation, I’d say the pricing is more than fair. You’re definitely getting what you pay for and more.

✨ Final Thoughts

Spending my birthday at Valentine’s Café turned out to be such a wholesome, cozy, and laughter-filled celebration. Despite the whole “where is this place?!” adventure at the start, everything else completely made up for it. The calm vibe, delicious food, sweet surprise, and genuine conversations made it a day I’ll treasure for a long time.

If you’re looking for a quiet, garden vibes with aesthetic corners, flavourful dishes, and a lovely touch of privacy, Valentine’s Café at Tamarind Square is totally worth checking out. Just… do yourself a favour and take the leafy staircase up to the second floor. Don’t repeat my heels-and-hunt story. 😂

Till next cafe,
Auri 💛
