I Craved For Good Burgers And Decided To Have It At TPCB

Ohhh… Burgers.

The soft buns that squish a little when you hold them, a hot patty with just enough juice with melted cheese, and those crispy edges that give it an extra bite. Honestly, who can resist that combo? One bite and your mood just kind of shifts. 🥰

I really have a soft spot for fast food. I know it is not exactly the healthiest choice, but I also believe food is not just about nutrition. Sometimes it is about comfort, cravings, and honestly just rewarding yourself after a long week. And this week? I reached that exact point where I stopped overthinking and thought, “okay, I need a burger.”

That craving led me to finally check out a place that has been sitting in my mental “must try”  list for a while, and this time I finally decided to go for it.

The place is called TPCB, short for The Permanent Choice Burger.

✅ What TPCB Serves

TPCB focuses mainly on burgers, with both beef and chicken options on the menu.

The beef patties are 100% halal and homemade, cooked somewhere between medium and medium-well. It is not trying to be fancy or complicated, just a classic burger style that feels familiar and easy to enjoy.

For the chicken burgers, things get a bit more interesting. The chicken is marinated with buttermilk before being fried, which locks in moisture and gives the meat a juicy, tender bite with a nicely crisp exterior.

They also have an egg burger option, described as a simple eggy burger tuned with TPCB’s taste, which adds another layer to the menu without changing its overall vibe.

Overall, the menu is straightforward. Just good burgers that do what they are supposed to do. You can check out their menu here: TPCB Menu

You can order:

  • A la carte (just the burger)
  • Set meal (burger + fries + soft drink)

For sauces, you get to choose between:

  • TPC Sauce (sweet and tangy)
  • Garlic Honey Mustard (with roasted garlic for extra depth)

What I Ordered

I went with:

  • Dirty Bulk (a la carte)
  • Hot Stuff (set meal)

✅ My Thoughts on the Taste

Normally when I go for burgers, I tend to stick with chicken patties because they feel like a safer choice and rarely disappoint me.

I did try a bite of my partner’s Dirty Bulk (beef burger). Personally, I still leaned more toward my own order. The beef version reminded me a bit of a classic fast food cheeseburger, something similar in vibe to McDonald’s. The difference is that TPCB’s patty is thicker, juicier, and clearly homemade. It still carries that familiar taste, just with a more homestyle feel rather than something completely new.

Now my Hot Stuff (chicken burger), this one really hit the spot.

The chicken patty was fried well and still juicy inside. It had that satisfying crunch when you bite into it, which I really enjoyed. Since I went for the Hot Stuff, it also had a noticeable spicy kick, especially from the sauce that came with the burger. It was not overwhelming, but it definitely added a nice heat that slowly builds as you eat, which I really enjoyed.

My partner actually asked me which one is better, this or my favourite Nak Nak Korean Burger we’ve tried before, and honestly I could not give a straight answer. They are both good in their own way. Some places just hit differently depending on your mood.

The fries also deserve a quick shoutout here. The portion was generous, and the sauce was sweet and tangy, which balanced everything really nicely. It made the meal feel complete rather than just burger and fries on the side.

✅ The Vibe at the Restaurant

When we arrived, the place was pretty quiet. Only one family was dining in at the time, so it had a very relaxed atmosphere.

TPCB runs on a self-service concept, which keeps things simple and casual. Here is how it works:

  • You order at the counter
  • You take a device
  • When it vibrates, you collect your food
  • Cutlery, cups, and tissues are available at the counter
  • After eating, you clean up your own table

There are only a couple of staff working, mostly in the kitchen, so everything feels very straightforward and no-fuss.

The whole setup gives off a pretty chill vibe. It feels like a place where you can:

  • Hang out with friends without pressure
  • Have a casual meal with family
  • Or just sit alone and enjoy your food in peace

Nothing fancy going on, just a nice spot to sit, eat, and take your time..

✅ Where It Is Located?

TPCB is located at Shaftsbury Square, Cyberjaya on the 3rd floor. It is quite easy to find once you are inside the building, just head up and follow the food directory signs. They also have another outlet in Seksyen 13, Shah Alam, so it is not limited to just this Cyberjaya outlet.

✅ Would I Come Again?

Yes, I would definitely consider coming back.

The chicken burger alone is already worth a return visit, and the fries deserve credit too. It is not one of those over-the-top gourmet burger spots, but it does what it aims to do very well.

Sometimes that is exactly what you want. Simple food that just hits the spot.

And honestly,

I can see myself coming back again on another “I need a burger”  kind of day.
