Have you heard of UK Farm Agro Resort in Kluang, Johor? I hadn’t until I went down a Google rabbit hole looking for a unique weekend escape. Among the search results, I came across photos of people posing with sheep. For a moment, the scenery reminded me of New Zealand or Australia, and I wanted to see what the place was actually like.
So, yes, I travelled all the way from Kuala Lumpur to Johor just to meet some goats and sheep. Sounds a little unusual for a weekend trip, perhaps, but curiosity got the better of me.
UK Farm turned out to be more than a place to feed animals. If you’re looking for a different weekend activity in Johor, here’s what you can expect, how much the farm tour costs and what I’d recommend knowing before you visit.

UK Farm Agro Resort is located within the Kluang Modern Agriculture Project in Johor. The farm specialises in goat and sheep rearing and has expanded into agrotourism, allowing visitors to learn about farming while getting up close to some of the animals.
The farm tour takes visitors around different sections of the property, including the goat pens, goat milk processing centre, mini zoo and fruit farm. There’s a guided tour, and animal feeding is part of the experience.
It’s a different kind of outing from the usual shopping malls and cafés, especially if you enjoy animals or want to introduce children to farm life.
✅ What to Expect at UK Farm
UK Farm is more than a petting zoo. It offers a guided agro farm experience with different animal enclosures and farming attractions. Here are some of the things you can expect during your visit.
- Goat and Sheep Farm
The goats and sheep were the main reason I wanted to visit UK Farm. I was curious about seeing them up close, and feeding them turned out to be one of my favourite parts of the trip.
You can feed the animals during the guided tour, and the experience includes feeding sets for several types of animals. The tour also covers the goat pens and baby goat feeding.
Getting to feed the goats with bottled milk was a highlight for me. They’re adorable, and I enjoyed spending time with them. Holding a baby goat was another memorable moment.
If you’re visiting mainly for the animals, this is the part of the tour you’ll probably look forward to most.
- Mini Zoo and Other Animal Parks
There’s more to see beyond the goats and sheep. The farm tour includes several other animal areas, such as:

Animal feeding is included in the tour package, with feeding sets provided for selected animals. The guide takes visitors around the different sections, so you can learn a little about the animals as you go.

The tour also includes a fruit farm, where you can learn about fruit cultivation. UK Farm has an orchard with tropical fruits such as passion fruit, soursop, rambutan and durian.
The farm also lists hydroponic farming among its agricultural activities. These sections offer a different perspective on the farm beyond animal encounters, making the visit more educational.
Fruit picking may be available as an optional activity, depending on availability and the package you choose.
- Jakun Village Experience
Another stop on the tour is Jakun Village, which introduces visitors to aspects of the traditional lifestyle of the Orang Asli Jakun community.
You’ll get to see traditional-style houses and tools as part of the cultural section. It’s a useful addition to the tour, giving visitors something to learn about beyond the farm’s animals and agricultural activities.
- Goat Milk Processing Centre
UK Farm also has a goat milk processing centre, where visitors can learn more about goat milk production. The farm tour includes a visit to the processing area and a goat milk tasting session.

The mini bus tour includes the entrance ticket, an animal feeding set, a guide and a goat milk tasting session. Children below three years old are listed as entering free.
The horse carting tour is a separate option, with a maximum of four people per cart according to the ticket listing.
UK Farm also lists optional activities such as pony riding, horse feeding, the Sheep Challenge, night tours and fruit picking. These activities come with additional charges and depend on availability.

UK Farm’s official website lists its general operating hours as 9 am to 6 pm daily, while farm tours run from 10 am to 5 pm. The mini bus tour is listed as lasting around two hours, with departures scheduled at intervals throughout the day.
I’d recommend arriving early enough to check in and confirm your tour departure time. If you arrive later in the afternoon, make sure there’s enough time for the tour you want.

✅ Can You Stay Overnight at UK Farm?
Yes, UK Farm has accommodation on-site, including chalets and dormitory facilities for selected packages.
The chalets are designed with a longhouse-inspired layout and overlook the farm’s green surroundings. Staying overnight could be a good option if you’d prefer to turn your visit into a short getaway instead of making a return trip on the same day.

✅ Things to Know Before Visiting UK Farm
Here are a few practical tips I’d keep in mind when planning a trip.
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. You’ll be moving between different areas of the farm, much of which is outdoors. Comfortable footwear will make the tour easier.
Prepare for the heat. My visit involved spending quite a bit of time outdoors, and it got hot. Wear sunscreen and a hat, and make sure you stay hydrated. Check the farm’s current rules before bringing your own drinks, as its published tour terms state that outside food and drinks are not allowed.
Check the tour schedule before you go. The farm tour is guided, so it’s worth confirming the departure time and arriving early enough to get ready.
Check what’s included in your ticket. Animal feeding and goat milk tasting are included in the listed mini bus tour, but some other activities cost extra. Don’t assume every activity is part of the basic package.
Book ahead if you’re visiting with a large group. UK Farm’s published terms require advance booking for groups of more than 20 people. Contact the farm to confirm the arrangements for your group.

✅ My Honest Experience at UK Farm
I went to UK Farm expecting to see goats roaming freely across dreamy green fields. Those Google photos had certainly set my expectations high! The actual experience was a little different from what I’d imagined, but I wasn’t disappointed.
The goats were adorable, and feeding them with bottled milk was one of my favourite parts of the trip. Getting to hold a baby goat was a memorable experience, too. It was a simple activity, but one I genuinely enjoyed.
The full tour took around two to three hours during my visit. It gave me enough time to explore the main attractions without feeling rushed. I’d still recommend preparing for the heat because much of the tour takes place outdoors.
- Food and Dining at UK Farm
There’s a restaurant on-site, so you can have a meal without needing to leave the farm. After the tour, I had lunch at the on-site restaurant. It was convenient to have somewhere to eat before heading off, especially after spending a few hours walking around the farm.
✅ Is UK Farm Worth Visiting?
I’d recommend UK Farm if you’re looking for a different weekend activity in Johor, especially if you enjoy animals or are travelling with children. The guided tour combines animal encounters with farming and cultural activities, so there’s more to the visit than feeding goats and sheep.
I’d also say it’s worth considering if you’re curious about agro-tourism and want to learn a little about how a farm operates. Just keep your expectations realistic. If you’re picturing endless green fields filled with freely roaming animals, the experience might not look exactly like the photos you’ve seen online.
For me, the highlight was getting to feed the goats and hold a baby goat. I was glad I made the trip, even if the farm wasn’t quite what I’d imagined at first.
Sometimes, a weekend away doesn’t need to involve shopping malls or the usual tourist attractions. Spending a few hours with animals and learning something new can be a lovely change from city life.
