Facial Treatments At MedicDeno Skin Solutions

Our skin undergoes changes as we age, and collagen production decreases after the age of 25. In my case, I began experiencing acne issues upon reaching 30 (you can read my story here), along with the appearance of pigmentation spots, smile lines, and fine lines beneath my eyes, as well as two horizontal lines on my neck that cause me considerable distress. I’m fully aware that all of these are natural parts of aging, but as someone who prioritizes the importance of beauty, I cannot simply disregard them. I knew that I had to take action now before it got worse, and at the same time, I wanted to slow down the ageing process.

What makes me choose Medicdeno Skin Solution?

What led me to choose Medicdeno Skin Solution was pure coincidence. While shopping at the mall, one of the beauty therapists approached me during their roadshow. Since I had already been considering consulting with a dermatologist about my acne and pigmentation issues, I decided to give it a try. I shared my skin concerns with her, and without hesitation, I made an appointment to see their aesthetic doctor. Additionally, I purchased a one-time trial of Pico laser treatment for RM199.00.

The day I met Dr. Owen (The Aesthetic Doctor)

I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly the aesthetic doctor at Medicdeno Skin Solution was. I felt completely comfortable sharing my skin concerns with him, without any sense of shyness or awkwardness. He carefully examined my face and informed me that my skin was congested, which was causing frequent breakouts, including blackheads and whiteheads, as well as a general lackluster appearance. He also clarified that my pigmentations were caused by acne, not by the sun, and were a result of dark spots that developed on my skin after a pimple healed. While he offered me several options for possible solutions, I trusted him fully and asked him to do whatever he felt was best. He then recommended that his beauty therapist perform an extraction and facial before starting the Pico laser treatment.

My 1st Facial + Pico Laser Treatment at Medicdeno

After my consultation with the doctor, the beauty therapist began extracting whiteheads and blackheads from my face. She also used a special tool to remove a few new pimples. While the extraction was somewhat painful, the therapist was extremely polite throughout the process and repeatedly apologized. Following the extraction and facial, I underwent my first Pico laser treatment. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate the pain as an 8. It felt like millions of tiny rubber bands were being slingshotted at my face. The doctor said it’s more painful for people who have facial hair. After the treatments, my face looked quite inflamed, with redness and swelling, but it got better after a couple of days.

My facial Treatment Package

After my first amazing experience with Medicdeno, I decided to continue with their facial treatments. Based on the doctor’s recommendation, I opted for 6 sessions of hydrating facial treatments at a promotional price of RM899.00. I also added two more Pico laser treatments and received a free one-time Pico laser treatment at a promotional price of RM1,000.00. I had read online that a single Pico laser treatment is insufficient for optimal results. To achieve the best results, you should perform at least three to four pico laser treatments. The doctor told me the same too. A week later, I upgraded my hydrating facial treatment to 8 sessions of collagen induction therapy (CIT) + facial treatment for RM3,151.00. I also received 600 points that I could use to claim any of their products, and I chose the ceramic essence and urban oxygen essence. During the CIT sessions, I would rate the pain as a 6 out of 10, depending on which area of my face the therapist focused on. The left side of my face was the primary area of concern, and at the end of each treatment, it felt like I had just been slapped hard, haha.

The commitment:-

Pico Laser Treatment = A session every week, which lasts around 20-30 minutes per session.
Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) + Facial treatment = I had my first and second treatments every week because they needed to focus on extraction to clear my skin from whiteheads and blackheads. My 3rd CIT; 2 weeks after my 2nd CIT. For the rest of my CIT; every 3 weeks. Each session took around 60-120 minutes.

Post Treatments Care
  • Pico Laser Treatment: If you’re interested in learning more about the benefits of Pico laser treatment, you can read about them here. For post-procedure care, I kept my face hydrated with La-Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume B5 and use La-Roche Posay Anthelios Sunscreen for UV protection. I washed my face with a mild cleanser from Cetaphil and avoided skincare products that contained oil, retinol, or acidic ingredients that could irritate my skin. Additionally, I refrained from using makeup while undergoing Pico Laser Treatment.
  • Collagen Induction Therapy (CIT) + Facial Treatment: The same care routine is applied after each session of CIT and Facial Treatment. I also avoided any activity that might cause excess sweating.

General Opinion About MedicDeno

Ok, where do I start? Haha. There are so many things I want to share, but first I want to mention that choosing Medicdeno was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The doctors are very kind and friendly, while the therapists here are so polite, helpful, and detail-oriented. What I like the most about Medicdeno is that they are generous. It was also known as “tak berkira” in Malay. Another aesthetic clinic would have asked you to add extra money for this and that, but things like this don’t happen in Medicdeno. For example, Pico Laser, they do the treatment for the whole face (where it concerns you) plus the neck. You don’t need to add extra money for toning or for eyes, mouth, etc. They also removed about 4 skin tags on my face with a laser during my facial at no extra charge. Not to forget, every package that I bought comes with points that I can use to claim any of their products. So far, I’ve claimed 3 products, a total of RM694.00 with my points. They also gave me a facial voucher in the amount of RM298.00 to give to any of my friends. Would I recommend this place to everyone? Hell yes! In the past, I didn’t have much confidence to go out without putting on any makeup, but now, even without makeup, I often get compliments from my friends, including my doctor & the beauty therapists, that they can see my skin is glowing. Well, money is well spent!
