A Weekend Getaway At Cameron Highlands Resort

I recently had the opportunity to stay at Cameron Highlands Resort. Initially, my plan was to visit the resort’s spa for a relaxing getaway. However, I decided to pamper myself and treat myself to a night’s stay at the resort instead. After all, why not indulge in a little luxury, right? I made my reservation a few days prior to my trip to Cameron, and I was filled with excitement. Staying at this resort had never crossed my mind before due to the perception that it might be beyond my budget, but thanks to my luck, I was finally able to experience the wonderful atmosphere and services of the resort.

Upon my arrival at the resort, I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist who greeted me with a friendly smile. He escorted me to the lobby area and offered me a refreshing cup of tea along with a hot towel, which was a delightful gesture. As I had arrived earlier than the check-in time, the receptionist informed me that my room was still being prepared. Taking this opportunity, I decided to go out for lunch.

When I returned, my luggage had already been taken to my room. I was impressed with the level of service here; the staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the service I received.

The Spa Village. 

The spa at Cameron Highlands Resort is renowned as Spa Village, offering treatments that are inspired by the local indigenous culture. Natural ingredients like tea leaves (daun teh) and betel leaves (daun sirih) are incorporated into the treatments, creating a unique aroma that is both soothing and rejuvenating. I decided to indulge in a one-hour massage, which was quite enjoyable, although I regretted opting for medium pressure as it turned out to be too gentle for my liking. Throughout the treatment, the scent of the leaves provided a profoundly relaxing experience and enhanced the overall ambiance.

The High Tea.

I was also fortunate enough to enjoy the resort’s high tea, which was truly a delightful experience. I was pleasantly surprised at the affordable price for such a luxurious treat. As you can see from the photo below, I indulged in some delicious muffins, brownies, sandwiches, and scones which were simply heavenly. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the texture was just right – soft, moist, and not too sweet. I couldn’t help but smile with joy as I savored each bite. The staff also provided excellent service and made sure that my tea cup was always full. It was a wonderful way to relax and recharge after my spa treatment. I highly recommend trying out the high tea at Cameron Highlands Resort.

 

The Dinner. 

For dinner, I decided to try out the popular hotpot at Gonbei restaurant, which is conveniently located within the resort premises. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with attentive staff ready to assist us throughout the meal.

The food was absolutely delicious, and I particularly enjoyed the variety of fresh vegetables and meats available to cook in the hotpot. The broth was flavourful and rich, making it the perfect comfort food for the chilly weather in Cameron Highlands.

Overall, I would give Gonbei restaurant two thumbs up for the amazing food and excellent service provided by the staff. It was definitely one of the highlights of my stay at the resort.

As for the question of whether I would stay at this resort again, the answer is a big yes! If I have the chance in the future, I would definitely choose to stay at Cameron Highlands Resort once more. The combination of luxurious amenities, exceptional service, and stunning natural surroundings make it an unforgettable experience.

Oh! And the room here – It’s spacious, comfortable, and clean. It has a sofa (as you can see in the picture), and it comes with all the necessary bathroom amenities. Plus, there’s a balcony where you can relax and chill!
